Water Restoration Technician
IICRC-track water-damage restoration techs for emergency mitigation work — 24/7 on-call rotation, paid certifications, take-home truck.

About the Role
AK Water Works’ restoration division responds to burst pipes, flooded basements, sewer backups, and storm damage 24/7. We’re hiring restoration technicians to extract water, set drying equipment, perform mold remediation, and rebuild damaged structures. We pay for your IICRC certifications.
What you’ll do
- Respond to emergency water-damage calls (24/7 on-call rotation)
- Extract water and set air movers, dehumidifiers, and HEPA air scrubbers
- Monitor and document drying progress for insurance documentation
- Perform basic mold remediation under supervision
- Communicate clearly with homeowners during stressful situations
- Maintain restoration equipment inventory in the company truck
What you bring
- Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work long hours during major losses
- Comfortable working in flooded basements, crawl spaces, and attics
- Strong communication skills — you’re working in someone’s damaged home
- Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation (paid)
- Pass a background check and drug screen
Nice to have
- IICRC WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician) certification
- IICRC AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation) certification
- Xactimate experience
- Prior insurance-restoration industry experience
