HVAC Service Technician / Heating & Cooling Tech

About the Role

AK Water Works is adding HVAC service technicians to a Warren, OH shop that already runs plumbing, sewer, waterproofing, restoration, and electrical crews. Your day is service work: no-heat and no-cool diagnostics, seasonal tune-ups, and system replacements in homes and small commercial buildings. You will run a stocked branded truck with an office team booking the calls, so you are fixing equipment instead of chasing your own schedule. • Run no-heat and no-cool calls on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and mini-splits
• Complete seasonal tune-ups and leave the customer a written summary of what you found
• Recover, charge, and leak-check refrigerant to EPA standards
• Lay out repair and replacement options with upfront pricing before any work starts
• Log the job, photos, and payment in HouseCall Pro before you leave the driveway
• Keep your truck stocked, clean, and inventory-accurate
• Share the paid 24/7 on-call rotation with the rest of the field team

• At least 2 years running residential or light commercial HVAC service calls
• EPA 608 certification (Universal preferred)
• Confident troubleshooting electrical controls, refrigerant faults, and airflow problems
• Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and on rooftops
• Customer-facing manner that holds up in someone's living room
• Pass a background check and drug screen

• NATE certification
• Rooftop unit or commercial refrigeration experience
• Ohio HVAC contractor license, or hours toward one
• HouseCall Pro or similar dispatch software experience
