Why a Sump Pump Needs Its Own Circuit
Most basements wire the sump pump onto the same circuit as the freezer, the workbench, or a string of outlets. That's fine on a dry day. But the day you actually need the pump — a heavy Northeast Ohio storm, saturated ground, water pouring into the pit — is the same day everything else is running hard, too.
